WHEN MEDICINE FAILS

Hello fellow grasshoppers. I never thought i would be in a position I am in now. But sadly I am. I went to my Dr. as I have an infected toe she prescribe medicine for the toe and f0r a ring worm infection. And also an appointment for a podiatrist. I have been doing well and have $125.00 in the bank so happily i run down to Walmart and give them the prescription well i almost fell over it was $87.00 and the cost of a specialist on my plan was $35.00 my car was reading empty so another $10.00 a total of $133.00 so what do I do? like a lot of elderly I compromise I refuse the prescription and ignore the specialist. Now my Dr is probably most mad a me but what can I do? Id rather eat than have a well toe. After my ssi check comes I will reevaluate in 14 days. I almost cried as a woman behind me offered to pay half of my prescription i thanked her but refused.I can't bend over to change the bandage so if my son were not here i would be unable to change bandage. Now when in Kenya I went to pharmisist she gave me an antibiotic for $1.00 and that got me by until returning to usa. Now if I had to go to emergency room the cost would be zero. you buy a small book for $1.00 and pay for your medicine. My insulin cost $28.00 at Walmart in Kenya $15.00 and my furosimide ten cents a pill. So what is my solution if it gets bad i go to emergency room $65.00 and eat.  Of course the people in USA are considered so stupid that they can't figure out what to do so we have laws to protect us so we don't hurt ourselves by taking medicine. Go figure. At some point our society will grid lock as so many lawsuits will prohibit us from going to a dr. Hey Mr. Romney where is my safety net?
